Request deletion of your Vantage Desk data

Vantage Desk helps businesses manage messages they receive on Facebook Messenger and Instagram. Vantage AI Ltd operates Desk for each business. For records handled on a business’s instructions, that business normally decides how its customer conversations are used. The applicable agreement and activity determine the roles for a particular record.

You can ask us to review information Vantage Desk holds about a conversation you had with a business through Facebook Messenger or Instagram and to delete it where applicable. If you manage an account connected to Desk, you can also ask us to review its connection and associated information.

  1. Email ivan@wearevantage.ai with the subject Vantage Desk data deletion. Tell us the business or Page involved, whether you sent a message or manage its connected account, the Facebook or Instagram account involved, and an approximate date. A profile name or handle can help us find the right record.
  2. Do not send passwords, identity documents, medical details, or message screenshots in your first email. We may ask for limited additional information to confirm that the request concerns your account and to locate the data.
  3. If the information belongs to a business’s customer conversation, we will coordinate with that business where its instructions or role require it. You may also contact the business directly.
  4. After verification and, where needed, the business’s instruction, we will review the records we can identify and explain what can be deleted, what must be retained, and whether any further work is still pending. We will keep you informed if the review is still in progress. We will confirm completion only after the relevant records and copies have been checked.

A request to disconnect a business account and a request to delete past conversations are separate. Disconnecting an account does not, by itself, delete earlier messages or other records linked to them.

This process concerns information held by Vantage Desk. Facebook, Instagram, and the business you contacted may hold their own copies under their own policies. Desk may also hold linked business records, audit records, exports, and backups that need separate review.
